Maria Vassiliou is an experienced Business - Legal Consultant.

With more than 20 years of working experience in large organisations, specialising in Banking, Corporate, and Employment Law, she has built a substantial understanding of how organisations really work.

Her academic background includes studies in Statistics, a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB), and a Master's degree in Human Resources Management and Employment Law. She is a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), a Certified Mediator (Cyprus &; Greece), and a Certified Professional Trainer (CyQF/EQF).

She has worked in Cyprus, Greece, and London (UK). She began her career as a Human Resources Management Consultant, before taking on the role of Human Resources and Employee Relations Manager. She continued for 14 consecutive years in the banking sector, working closely with the senior management of Laiki Marfin Bank, holding a series of positions — among others, Employee Relations Manager, Head of Custody and Trust, and Legal Advisor within the Group Legal Department and the Debt Collections Department.

In 2013, she was appointed Legal Advisor to the Haircut Committee overseeing Laiki Bank's accounts.
In 2015, following approval by the Central Bank of Cyprus — she was appointed Internal Legal Advisor to the Special Administrator of Laiki Bank under Resolution.
In 2016, she was appointed a member of the Government Loans Committee, Ministry of Finance.
In 2017, she founded ENTER CONSULTING ZONE.

Alongside her advisory work, Maria organises tailor-made seminars in her areas of expertise, according to the needs of her clients.

Furthermore, she is actively involved in public affairs and has served as a member of the Strovolos Municipal Multi-Functional Foundation, as a member and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Gender Research Centre (EKIF), and as a Board member of Business and Professional Women Nicosia (BPW).

She is a contributing writer for newspapers and e-magazines such as INBUSINESS, CAPITAL, SIMERINI, and PHILELEFTHEROS, and a regular guest on television and radio programmes, where she comments on banking, legal, and insolvency matters.

She has stood as a candidate in both Municipal and Parliamentary Elections, with the aim of informing citizens on issues of non-performing loans and insolvency.
