Maria Vassiliou is an Experienced Business Legal Consultant - Mediator and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner specializing in Banking, Corporate and Employment Law.

She studied Statistics and further holds a bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB). She has a Master's degree in Human Resources Management and Employment Law.

She is graduate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPD) and she is Certified Mediator and Certified Professional Trainer CyQF/ EQF

Maria has a multinational experience as she has worked in Cyprus, Greece and London (UK) holding various responsible positions.

She started her career as a Human Resources Management Consultant and she held Managerial positions as Human Resources and Employee Relation Manager.

She continued her career for 14 consecutive years in the Banking Sector where she worked close with the Top Management of Laiki Marfin Bank and held various responsible positions such as Employee Relation Manager, Head of Custody and Trust and Legal Advisor of the Group Legal Department and Debt’s Collections Department.

On 2013, she has been assigned as the Legal Advisor of the Haircut Committee of Laiki Bank's Accounts.

On 2015, she was appointed as the Internal Legal Advisor of the Special Administrator of Laiki Bank under Resolution following the approval of the Central Bank of Cyprus.

On 2016, she was appointed as a member of the Government Loans Committee, Ministry of Finance.

In 2017 she founded ENTER CONSULTING ZONE

She also delivers specialized seminars in relation with her work expertise.

She was a member of Strovolos Μunicipal Multi-Functional Foundation( Polidynamo)

She is a member and secretary of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Gender Research Centre (EKIF) and a member of the Cyprus Federation of Professional Business Women (BPW).

Furthermore, she is publishing articles on newspapers and e-magazines such as INBUSINESS, CAPITAL, SIMERINI, and PHILELEFTHEROS).

She is also a regular guest on TV and Radio where she is presents Banking/ Legal and Insolvency Issues.

She was stand as a candidate for Municipal elections and Parliamentary Elections of 2021, with the aim to inform citizens in relation to Bad Debts and Insolvency.

Graduate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPD) and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, as well as an Accredited Mediator.

Maria Vassiliou has obtained a Master's degree in Human Resources and Employment Law (MA) and fulfilled her undergraduate studies in both Law (LLB) and Statistics (BSc), demonstrating her dedication to academic excellence and pursuit of knowledge in diverse fields.

With a multinational background, Maria Vassiliou has held various responsible positions in Cyprus, Greece, and London (UK).
She began her career in Human Resources Management and in matters of Employment Relations and Labor Law.
Maria Vassiliou furthered her career for a period of 14 years in the banking sector. She initially worked as an HR and Employee Relations Manager for the People's Bank of Cyprus in London, and subsequently held a series of positions in Cyprus, including Head of the Custody and Trust Department, Legal Advisor for the Debt Restructuring Service, and Legal Counsel for the Bank's Legal Department.
In 2013, she made a transition to the private sector, assuming the role of Legal Counsel at a prominent law firm in Cyprus.
In 2015, Maria Vassiliou was appointed as the Internal Legal Counsel for the Special Administrator of the Restructured People's Bank by the Central Bank of Cyprus. In this role, she was responsible for resolving issues arising from the bank's haircut and overseeing the sale of its assets, including banks and properties.
In 2017, she founded ENTER CONSULTING ZONE LTD.

Maria Vassiliou has held positions as a member of the Administrative Council of the State Loans Committees (Public Loans) and as a member of the Council of Polidynamo/Municipality of Strovolos in Nicosia.
She is an active member of the Cyprus Federation of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals (COFEP) and is also associated with the Gender Equality Research Center.

Throughout her professional career, she has delivered and organized a wide range of seminars on topics related to banking, insolvency, and employment relations. Furthermore, she has published articles in newspapers and is a regular guest speaker on television, where she is invited to share her expertise on legal and banking matters.

As a proactive citizen, she has volunteered herself as a nominee for Municipal Councilor and also as a candidate in the 2021 Parliamentary Elections, with the intent of conscientizing and educating fellow citizens on the legislations concerning non-performing loans and foreclosures.

Εχει μια πολυεθνική εμπειρία καθώς έχει εργαστεί στην Κύπρο, Ελλάδα και Λονδίνο (Η.Β.) κατέχοντας διάφορες υπεύθυνες θέσεις.

Ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της στη Διοίκηση Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού και σε θέματα Εργασιακών Σχέσεων και Εργατικού Δικαίου.

Συνέχισε την καριέρα της για 14 συνεχή χρόνια στον Τραπεζικό Τομέα όπου εργάστηκε στη Λαική Τράπεζα Κύπρου, στο Λονδίνο, ως HR and Employee Relation Manager και έπειτα στην Κύπρο, όπου κατείχε διάφορες θέσεις, όπως Επικεφαλής του τμήματος Θεματοφυλακής και Καταπιστεύματος (Custody and Trust), Νομικός Συμβουλος στην Υπηρεσία Αναδιάρθρωσης Χρεών και Νομικός Σύμβουλος στην Νομική Υπηρεσία της Τράπεζας .

Το 2013 μεταπήδησε στον ιδιωτικό τομέα όπου εργάστηκε ως Νομικός Σύμβουλος σε Δικηγορικό Οίκο στην Κύπρο.

Το 2015 διορίστηκε από την Κεντρική Τράπεζα της Κύπρου, ως η Εσωτερική Νομικός Σύμβουλος του Ειδικού Διαχειριστή της Λαϊκή Τράπεζας υπό Εξυγίανση, όπου σκοπός ήταν η επίλυση προβλημάτων λόγω κουρέματος και η πώληση των περιουσιακών στοιχείων της Τράπεζας όπως Τράπεζες, Ακίνητα κλπ

Το 2017 ίδρυσε την Enter Consulting Zone Ltd.

Maria Vassiliou is a certified Mediator and a member of the Cyprus Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution. She is also listed in the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).
